When does a brand need 2D animation?
2D animation solves three problems that live action cannot. First, it visualises things that do not exist or cannot be photographed, abstract concepts, internal processes, future states. Second, it creates a visual identity that is ownable and distinctive in a way that live action footage rarely achieves. Third, it works without location, talent, or weather risk. J-Cut Production recommends 2D animation when the message is conceptual, when the brand has strong identity assets that can be extended into motion, or when live action production costs are prohibitive for the required volume of content.

Every stage of J-Cut Production's 2D animation process is handled by our own team: concept, script, storyboard, character design, rigging, animation, sound design, and final render. We do not outsource animation to third-party studios. This means the team that pitches the concept is the team that delivers the finished film, with no quality degradation across handoffs.
