Jana Shaaban

Jana Shaaban grew up with a deep interest in visual storytelling and built her career in the UAE production industry from the ground up. Before co-founding J‑Cut Production, she worked across production houses and agencies, learning every layer of the process: casting, location scouting, crew logistics, on-set direction, and post-production coordination.

That end-to-end fluency is what makes her rare. Most production directors specialise in one phase. Jana runs all of them. On a J‑Cut project, she is the single point of contact from the first pre-production meeting through to final delivery, which means zero information gets lost, zero standards get compromised, and the creative vision that was agreed in the brief is the one that makes it to screen.

In 2018, Jana and Ashraf Shaaban co-founded J‑Cut Production with a deliberate philosophy: stay small, stay senior, and take on the projects where doing exceptional work is possible. That decision to stay boutique has defined everything. It is why the company can take on a NEOM campaign and a regional fashion launch in the same month, and deliver both to broadcast standard.

Today, J‑Cut Production is one of Dubai's most recognised boutique production houses. Jana continues to personally oversee every project that leaves the company, and that is a choice, not a necessity. For her, quality control is not a process. It is a standard.
